It is heartening to inform you that on 7th of March 2014 , the university arranged a guest lecture and Mr Shrinivas Daulatabad , Assistant Professor (IET,DAVV) was kind enough to deliver the lecture on “Industrial Prospective of CMOS VLSI Design”. The prudent speaker who has got an M. Tech degree from IIT Roorkee spoke at length and the rapt audience listened to him . Though the lecture was arranged for the students of Sem- V & Sem-VII, yet many other students and faculty members also attended it and got inspired.
VLSI is a very wide field in the Indian market and is also an interesting topic not only for Electronics Engineers but also for aeronautical students. There are very good opportunities of obtaining projects & jobs in this field. Keeping this view, this lecture was found to be very useful and motivating.The following topics were covered in details:
1. Basic fundamentals of VLSI Industrial design.
2. Design parameters and VLSI Design Flow.
3. CAD tools for designing.
4. Career & Opportunities.
After the lecture a comprehensive interactive session was also arranged to answer the questions of the audience.
The two hour long session was initiated with the introduction of Mr. Shrinivas Daulatabad given by Mr. Niraj Mishra,(R&D) and concluded by vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Jaikaran Singh(HOD,EX) . the session was formally came to an end when Mr. Nityanand Urmaliya presented a token of appreciation to the guest speaker. The guest speaker was all praise for the intelligent questions asked by the students.The students also showed their appreciation and one of them said with pride in his eyes , “ Three Cheers for SSSUTMS
